Corsendonk Pater Dubbel Ale

"Mahogany brown color. Mild aromas of lemongrass, lime leaf, mint, pepper and cocoa with a supple, dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body and a long, zesty citrus, dried peach, spiced nut, mineral and pink pepper finish. Distinctively limey and delicious." —Beverage Testing Institute

"Appearance: Cloudy dark mahogany with a fluffy light tan head.

"Smell: Fruity with ripe apples, grapes and pears...with hints of grain.

"Taste: Crisp with a textured mouth feel that seems to be on the smooth side. Warming and slightly spicy alcohol in the middle. Traces of red grapes, raisins and ripe apples in the fruitiness. Hint of carob and grain on the palate which leaves a ghost like smoke flavour. Touch of yeast in the finish with a little more carob.

"Notes: Quite complex between the fruity, yeasty and malt characters. An obvious cult classic." —Jason Alström, BeerAdvocate
