Don Nicanor Malbec 2021
Mendoza
Argentina

"The 2021 Don Nicanor Malbec was produced with grapes from Valle de Uco and Luján de Cuyo in similar proportion, fermented with selected yeasts and with 60% of the wine matured in oak barrels for 12 months. It has contained ripeness at 14.5% alcohol and is juicy and peachy, with black fruit (cassis, blackberry) and herbs. It is more serious, perhaps with a more reductive personality, with good concentration, tension and balance. Modern, very good value and a traditional name." —Wine Advocate

"Pretty nose of potpourri, lavender, cherries, purple plums and spice box. It’s full-bodied and creamy with a firm tannin frame. Nicely spiced. Better after 2024." —James Suckling
